Your father's "BS" reminded me of a video I saw a couple days ago. It was of an Iraq War veteran confronting Mark Kelly at a campaign stop. As the guy was getting blocked by bodyguards, he said to Kelly: "You're a veteran. Donald Trump loves veterans." Kelly then rolled out the usual stuff: Trump's remarks that people who died in World War I were suckers, that McCain was a loser for getting captured, etc. You know the litany. After Kelly finished his mini-lecture, the guy said, "Thank you. I didn't know about all that."
I didn't know about all that? How do you not know all about that? What Trump said about McCain is old news. How could this veteran be so unaware of all the common-knowledge stuff Kelly raised? It's a mystery.
I live in New York City and momentarily thought about going to Trump's MSG rally next week, thinking that it might be "fun" to approach this rally in a way that Jordan Klepper would and then write about it. I decided against it. But I do hope Jordan Klepper goes. I'd be shocked if he passed it up. Will anyone from Comedy Central attend? We shall see!
