Now, as for American comedies (I agree with what you said about "Friends" and similar ilk), you would have to include "Curb Your Enthusiasm," yes? You're obviously a fan of cringe comedy, so if you haven't seen the series (it ended earlier this year), you must check it out! And then there's "Veep." Put that one in the time capsule, please.
