Thank for the compliment.

“Science is not better, by the way.” I don’t know what this means. I like Google’s definition of science: “The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.” Yep.

If you mean that science hasn’t answered some questions (what caused the Big Bang, for example), that’s fine. But countless scientific investigations — through observation and/or experiment — have yielded truths about the nature of the world and the universe. Theistic beliefs, be they Jesus-oriented or otherwise, have nothing of value to say about the nature of the world.

I don’t know what you mean with your remark about the natural world being “a product of advanced technology.” Earth is millions of years old. Humans have only been around for about 200,000 years, 300,000 tops. Obviously, the natural world — animals, plants, fungi — existed before humans came around, so this notion of the natural world being a product of advanced technology makes no sense to me. Please explain, if you care to, how an understanding of the natural world doesn’t apply to pre-human life.

Lives in New York City, owns too many books and CDs. But then again, there's no such thing as "too many" books and CDs.
