I don't know what this means: "Recursive thought is simply a particular lens and filter through which this light of sentience shines."

You may have misread science when you mention the scientific view that "thought gives rise to consciousness." I think you'll discover that most scientists will say the opposite, that consciousness precedes thought (language). Thought is consciousness's playground.

But my main point, whenever I go after religion, is to focus like a laser beam on the supernatural claims made by the religion in question (horses with wings never existed; ergo, one of Islam's central beliefs is false). This is the locus of what's wrong with all religions: the belief that a supernatural realm exists where supernatural things go on. There is zero evidence of a supernatural "realm."

Within the zany world of theology I have no idea how many "pillars of thought" theologians employ to support the edifice of their particular belief, but I can tell you this much: The supernatural pillar is a crucial one, and if you pull it away, the entire thing falls and crumbles to the ground.

Yes, a jubilee would be nice.

Lives in New York City, owns too many books and CDs. But then again, there's no such thing as "too many" books and CDs.
