I didn't know that Capshaw screamed 71 times in this movie. That certainly helps to make her, as you noted, "one of the most irritating characters in the film." As it happens, Capshaw is the main reason why Temple of Doom is my least favorite of the five movies of which I wrote an overview last month and published on Medium.
