De novo genes represent no threat to the theory of evolution. It is an established aspect of evolution that turns nothing on its head. And just to be clear that you understand the word, while it is a fact that life evolves, it is the theory of evolution that explains that fact. Once again, these are two separate things: the science that demonstrates evolution is for real and that all life evolves, and the explanation that accounts for how life flourishes and propagates. Also, I hope you understand that in the world of science, “theory” does not mean “hunch” or “opinion.”
