Fine. But what does religion have to do with any of this? I don't see the connection because everything you wrote in that passage can just as easily be achieved by a secular humanist.
The problem with Christianity has nothing to do with any alleged creeping politicization. It has to do with asserting things about the nature of the world and the universe that are not true. So ignore the "not all Christians" debate. Just be secular!
